On July 23d, 2019, SPRC held a training for the Municipal Members of Suhareka. Throughout the
activity, Assembly Members, and other interested participants, were informed on the basic concepts
of radicalism, the identification signs of it’s presence, push and pull factors, different approaches
towards the phenomena in communities and the role of legal and institutional mechanisms in
addressing concerns or individual cases and cooperating with the relevant stakeholders.
There were 21 Assembly Member participants, including the Head of the Assembly of Suhareka
Municipality, Mr.Bexhet Kuçi. They showed great interest for discussion and active participation
during the training, to examine topics of interests for them and their communities, such as: the risk
of misinterpretation of the early signs/identification signs of radicalized individuals; possible
outcomes from the returnees who participated in foreign conflicts; the human resources and fields
of expertise needed to be able to deal with the phenomena or radicalism and its outcomes, from an
Institutional level.
