BIRN Kosovo on 26 April, 2019 has broadcasted the next show titled “Returning from Syria war”. BIRN team brought an exclusive story of women and children who returned from the war areas in Syria and Iraq. The Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Police, without any prior confirmation, repatriated 32 women, 74 children and 4 men from the war zones. 72 hours upon their return, they stayed at the Vranidoll Asylum Center, where they got the first treatment.

In this TV program the legal representatives of the returnees were interviewed, where they have given the details about the lives of these people in the war zones and what they expect after they return in Kosovo. Furthermore, a mjor part of this Program was the interview with the National Coordinator against Terrorism and Extremism in Kosovo, Fatos Makolli, who showed the plan the Government has for returnees. Moreover, he provided with many answers to the questions raised after the returned of these people. He also talked about the Kosovo government’s strategy for the returnees and about the possibility for these people to re-socialize in Kosovo.
