This article includes the story of three women who came back from Syria and the reasons behind the indictments filed against them. The aim of this article is to inform the public on the ills of radicalization by sharing the story of returnees in order to prevent other people from radicalization and extremist acts.

In the article it is included that, the State Prosecution’s notice states that women with the initials L.L., S.S., and M.A., are charged with “Organizing and Participating in a Terrorist Group” as well as “Joining of Participating in a Foreign Army or Police”.

Further details of the indictments of the accused are provided in the article. M.A. along with their now deceased husband and their 1-year-old son had ended up in Syria through the Hani i Elezit border crossing, in order to join ISIS. According to the State Prosecution, L.L. and S.S. became part of foreign wars in 2013 and 2014, respectively, and returned on April 20, 2019. They both fled to Syria via Pristina International Airport through Turkey. They have been indicted for organizing and participating in terrorist groups.
